Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any experience to start?

Never. Every class welcomes complete beginners, and our coaches meet you exactly where you are — whether it’s your first workout in years or your first time hearing the word "capoeira." Come as you are and move at your pace.

Is my first class really free?

Yes. Your first class in any program is on us — no card required, and that goes for every program including capoeira. Just book a spot from the schedule and show up.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable clothes you can move in, and a water bottle. Capoeira is practiced barefoot; for fitness classes, supportive sneakers are great. No special gear needed for your first visit — we’ll help with the rest.

How do memberships work?

The all-access MultiPass unlocks every program, or you can choose a single-program pass, family rate, or senior rate. Memberships are month-to-month — no multi-month contracts and no cancellation fees. Current pricing is on the Join Us page.

What if I can't afford a membership?

Cost is never the reason someone stops coming. Our sliding-scale scholarship fund covers 25–100% of program costs for those who need it — applied right at checkout. Just ask; the process is easy and judgment-free.

Can my whole family join?

Absolutely. Add children and family members to a single account, and look for family rates at checkout. We run programs for ages 3 through seniors — many families move together here.

Capoeira and Body By Tabitha have their own websites — where do I book?

Here. Those sites carry the full detail for their programs, but every Agora class is booked on the Agora schedule, on one account, with one membership. Nothing is split across two checkouts.

Do you accept SilverSneakers or Medicare?

Yes — we’re a certified SilverSneakers® facility, and our senior wellness classes are covered by many Medicare plans. Check your eligibility and join us for morning sessions built for older adults.
